Overdrive IPA is a warm, medium gain drive built to live on your board. It sits right in that sweet spot where your amp still feels like your amp, just pushed a little harder and a little richer.
The gain structure is smooth and touch responsive, cleaning up with your volume knob and blooming when you dig in. Chords stay clear, single notes stay thick, and nothing gets lost when you stack it with other pedals. It is equally comfortable as a low gain always on drive or pushed into gritty breakup territory.
The tone control is tuned to shape without fighting you. Roll it back for darker, rounded drive or open it up for edge and presence without harshness. There is no brittle top end and no flubby low end, just a balanced voice that works across different guitars and amps.
Like a good IPA, this pedal is about balance. Enough bite to be interesting, enough body to feel satisfying, and smooth enough to keep you coming back.

Just got my new pedal and it has been really fun to use! The tone knob gives you nice control over the richness or punch you want, respectively. Volume knob offers decent “launch” when pedal is engaged compared to clean amp tone.
I tried this with three distinctly different guitars: my Fender Jaguar with P-90 neck pickup and single coil bridge pickup; my Gibson SG with coil split humbuckers; and my Supro Sahara with one whacky single coil bridge pickup and fiberglass top.
All three sounded good, but I think the Fender and the Supro were best served by the punchy mid-range the pedal adds. The Supro in particular gained some real articulation. The Jaguar instantly had a piercing surf rock tone that had me grinning.
Definitely recommend the OverDrive IPA regardless of what you’re strumming on. It’s my cheat code for rock n’ roll tone!
