A Big Muff was one of my first pedals, and its a sound that is so good yet incredibly hard to tame. It is fuzz brutality, and a classic tone. It has come on and off my board over the years because of its size and lack of subtlety. I even bough a Russian Big Muff to see if I could get more use out of it, in a board friendly footprint, but the tone just didn't do it for me.
Finally I found the Snake Wine Fuzz by Monger Pedals, and its been on my board ever since. The blend knob expands the use cases for fuzz so much. You can trickle in a little bit, or turn the dial all the way for the full Big Muff onslaught.
What a fantastic addition to my board. TBH I've never been much of a fuzz user until now. The SWF has totally changed my view though. I am love the flexibility and tone control, but I think the game changer for me is the BLEND knob. It allows you to do so much more! Adding a little grit to your clean tone is awesome as well as adding a different type of drive in front of this pedal. The blend is massive. Great job and looking forward to your next one!
